The incredible trail traverses a remote part of the Nitmiluk National Park outside of Katherine in the Northern Territory’s Top End. The 62km long adventure links Katherine Gorge with Edith Falls/Leliyn, taking hikers along the western end of the Arnhem Land Escarpment. Jabula – New Life Ministries is an international movement which was founded in 1989 by Bishop Bismark, along with his wife Pastor ChiChi. Originally, Jabula began as an extension of the local church in Harare, but quickly grew through church planting and international expansion.

The Jatbula Trail is one of the most well-known hikes in Australia. Along with the Larapinta Trail in Central Australia, it’s definitely the most sought after multi-day hike in the Northern Territory. It gives you a chance to explore some of the most untouched parts of an ancient landscape home to the Jawoyn people. This was the start of the politicisation of The Malombo Jazz Makers. Originally, The Malombo Jazz Men were set to make their debut at the Soweto Cold Castle Jazz festival. They were determined to tighten and hone their sound. As the festival neared, Phillip realised the band weren’t ready. A decision was made to delay their debut until a competition at Orlando stadium. That’s where The  Malombo Jazz Men made their debut.

As with all hikes in Australia, you should be mindful of snakes and always carry a first-aid kit complete with a snakebite bandage.
